Conditions which disqualify you for permanent makeup
More rapid color loss is to be expected for those who
Must discontinue the following a minimum of 2-4 weeks before and after appointment. Failure to do so will prevent the color from penetrating the skin, and you will not be refunded. Check ingredients in every single product you use on your face from cleansers to moisturizers, makeup and makeup removers, to other skin care products.
For best results we recommend Cetaphil Daily Cleanser for normal skin and Cetaphil Oil Free Daily Facial Moisturizer 4 weeks prior and 4 weeks after to keep your skin clean and moisturized. Other cleansers free of anti aging ingredients include Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Foaming Cleanser, Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Facial Cleanser for dry skin, and Clean And Clear Foaming Facial Cleanser. Moisturize lips with Aquaphor 3x daily before lip tattoo.
Aftercare Eyebrow Video! Dab brows with a tissue to remove lymph and ensure the skin is clean and dry. Rub a small amount of aftercare ointment on your brows in a circular motion, getting under all existing hair and surrounding skin. Use slight pressure sealing in the color. Feel with your finger that the ointment is evenly distributed and your brows feel flat and smooth. Re-apply 3 to 5 times per day for 10 days then reduce as needed. Skin has to be clean and dry before reapplying.
Use a moisturizing healing balm such as Aquaphor on your brows to prevent drying out and scabbing. Scabs heal patchy and cause color loss. You Must Keep the skin CLEAN, FLAT, MOIST AND SMOOTH AT ALL TIMES.
Permanent makeup is a two step process and requires 2 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart to be considered complete. The initial session is to lay the foundation, and the touchup session is to perfect the shape and color. Your permanent makeup will go through many changes. The emoji chart gives you some idea of feelings you may experience after the first session while waiting for your touchup.
After your initial session you may experience shock, see a color you don't like either too dark, cool, or warm. At about day 3-5 you may see light peeling. In order to minimize the peeling as much as possible follow the after care checklist. At week 2 the color will start to fade and may even disappear while its settling below your skin. At about week 3 the color will slowly start to show up again through your skin. And week 4 is time for touchup. Four weeks is a full skin cell turnover cycle for the skin to reproduce new healthy skin above the tattoo. This is important so that on the touchup the skin is healthy. Doing the touchup early means the skin is still in its shedding process and color will not hold.
Micro-Balm is formulated with cannabis and gentle nourishing ingredients such as aloe vera and antioxidants to promote healing and soothe the skin. Micro-balm helps to protect the treated area, reduce inflammation, and prevent infection. It provides hydration to the skin, aiding in the healing process and minimizing discomfort. Additionally, the balm creates a barrier against environmental pollutants and irritants, allowing the skin to recover effectively. Overall, Micro Balm healing salve plays a crucial role in ensuring optimal healing and long-lasting results after permanent makeup procedures. Be sure to rub it in well after applying it on the brows 3-5x daily.
Here are some of the key ingredients found in Micro Balm
Yes, you must keep your brows moisturized at all times following your permanent makeup procedure to prevent scabbing or peeling. We recommend using our aftercare cream or Aquaphor 3 to 5 times daily to maintain moisture balance and promote good color retention. Be sure to rub the cream in well, on and around the brow skin, and under existing brow hair sealing the color in. Brows should feel flat and smooth at all times when you touch them with your finger. No lifting should occur.
Yes. Permanent Makeup does not impair you in any way.
Usually not. You can expect your eyebrows to appear beautiful right after the treatment. In some cases, there may be mild swelling with eyeliner and lips, which typically subsides within a day or two.
All the photos featured on our website are taken immediately after treatment, so you can see the immediate results. Please note that the initial color appears darker, and gradually lightens during the healing process.
No, as long as you follow the aftercare instructions correctly, your brows should remain clean, flat, and smooth at all times with no scabbing or lifting.
If you experience scabbing, we recommend applying a hot compress with a wet paper towel to soften the skin. This can help retain as much color as possible without removing it. However, if the scab has already dried out and fallen off, there is nothing you can do other than wait for the touch-up session. Removing the scab prematurely could result in color loss or uneven healing.
We advise against using any topical products aside from the instructed aftercare during the first ten days after the permanent makeup procedure to prevent infection. Picking scabs should be avoided, as it can elevate the risk of infection and disrupt the healing process. It's crucial to ensure that the treated area remains clean, flat, and smooth reducing scabbing for good results.
No shower for 24 hours. Avoid retinols, harsh chemical facials, exfoliating treatments, prolonged sun exposure, and excessive sweating to prevent adverse effects on the pigment. Permanent makeup offers the convenience of waking up with flawless brows, defined lips, or perfectly lined eyes every day. However, for some, the dream of long-lasting results can quickly fade away due to premature color loss. Permanent makeup and Microblading typically lasts between 6 to 18 months and up to 2 years, varying based on several factors. Many opt for a yearly color boost to maintain freshness and vibrancy. If any of these common factors contributing to color loss apply to you, then you may want to consider purchasing the two year warranty. Adding a 2-year warranty adds peace of mind. We stand behind our work and promise to address any issues that may arise within the warranty period. Our warranty not only safeguards your investment but also underscores our dedication to delivering exceptional results!
1. Excessive sun exposure to the sun's UV rays is a primary culprit behind premature color fading in permanent makeup. UV radiation can break down the pigment molecules in the skin, causing the color to lighten over time. To protect your investment, always use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher on your treated areas, especially when spending time outdoors.
2. Oily skin types tend to experience faster color fading due to increased sebum production, which can push the pigment out of the skin more rapidly. Likewise, individuals with faster metabolic rates may experience quicker pigment breakdown and absorption, leading to premature fading.
3. Certain medications and skin care products can interfere with the retention of permanent makeup pigments. Retinoids, alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), and exfoliating treatments can accelerate cell turnover, causing the pigment to shed from the skin more quickly. It's essential to discontinue the use of these products at least four weeks before undergoing permanent makeup procedures to ensure optimal color retention.
4. Lifestyle factors such as smoking, alcohol consumption, and exposure to harsh chemicals can also contribute to premature color fading. Smoking constricts blood vessels, reducing the flow of oxygen and nutrients to the skin, which can impair pigment retention. Similarly, alcohol and chemical-laden skincare products can compromise the skin's barrier function, leading to accelerated pigment loss.
5. Inability to follow aftercare instructions! Failure to keep the treated area clean and moisturized, picking at scabs, or engaging in activities that cause excessive sweating can all contribute to premature color fading.
While permanent makeup offers a convenient solution for enhancing your natural beauty, it's essential to understand the factors that can lead to premature color fading. By taking proactive steps to protect your investment and following proper aftercare practices, you can enjoy your beautiful eyebrows, eyeliner and lips for longer!

Permanent makeup is good for,
The duration of permanent makeup varies depending on factors such as skin type, lifestyle, and the specific technique used. On average,
Regular touch-up sessions are recommended to maintain the look.
When performed by a skilled and experienced professional, permanent makeup can appear very natural. The color, shape, and placement of the pigments are carefully chosen to complement your facial features and skin tone. Additionally, modern techniques such as microblading mimics the appearance of natural eyebrows, while eyeliner and lip tattooing can be applied in a way that enhances your features without looking overly harsh or artificial. Ultimately, the goal of permanent makeup is to enhance your natural beauty and provide a subtle, polished look.
You may still wear your own makeup over permanent makeup. However, it's important to keep in mind that the purpose of permanent makeup is to simplify your beauty routine and enhance your natural features. Many people find that they need less traditional makeup after getting permanent makeup, as it provides a base level of color and definition. If you choose to wear additional makeup, please wait a minimum of ten days after the procedure.
Yes, permanent makeup is a form of tattooing, known as cosmetic tattooing, but it is typically applied more delicately compared to traditional body tattoos. The pigments used for permanent makeup are specially formulated to be more subtle and suitable for the face. Unlike traditional tattoos, PMU is semi-permanent, meaning that the color sits on the surface of the skin and gradually fades over time as the skin sheds. In contrast, regular tattoos are designed to sit deeper in the skin and are typically intended to last a lifetime.
We choose the appropriate color that will heal correctly with your skin. For example, a warm color applied to warm-toned skin may result in reddish-looking brows, and a cool color applied to cool-toned skin may lead to bluish or grayish brows. We choose a color opposite your skin's undertone to counter unwanted hues. The color you see above the skin is not the same as the color that appears below the skin after 4 weeks. This is due to skin undertones explained in our color theory page.
Appointments are scheduled for two hours and do not impair you in any way. Touchup appointments are scheduled 4-8 weeks after the initial appointment for 45 minutes to an hour. Additional touchups and yearly color boosts are scheduled as needed.

No. Existing hair is to be preserved and remain in place. You may wax or tweeze the areas with unwanted hair to maintain its shape and will need to continue to do so even after your permanent makeup.
Permanent makeup does not damage existing hair. It can stimulate hair growth by stimulating blood flow to the area. However, most people's hair follicles are likely dead by the time they decide to get permanent makeup so new hair growth is uncommon.
Yes. You may tint your brows as usual up to 3 days before your permanent makeup appointment, and wait at least two weeks after to prevent infection.
Pigment is lost as the color settles into the skin and with the skin shedding cycle. Touchups are essential to preserve color and ensure optimal results.
To achieve the desired color on dark lips, a contrasting color is first applied to lighten the natural lip color. Once the lips have lightened sufficiently, the desired color is applied to achieve the desired result successfully. This requires more appointments and is a multiple step process.
We provide topical numbing to minimize discomfort. Feel free to bring your headphones and listen to relaxing music during the session.

Yes, tattoo ink is generally considered safe when using inks that are manufactured by reputable companies and comply with safety regulations.

Yes. Saline removal is a safe and effective method to lift unwanted pigment from the skin through osmosis. This process involves implanting saline, a solution of salt, into the skin which dilutes and extracts the color, bringing it to the surface until it is removed.
It is preferred not to have any tattoos or permanent makeup while pregnant. However, a doctor's clearance will be accepted.
Generally, we do not accept clients with previous permanent makeup unless it's light enough to work over effectively. Otherwise, saline removal is a possible option.
Yes. Cancer survivors may get permanent makeup. However, if currently undergoing therapies it is not advised.
