Conditions which disqualify you for permanent makeup
- Active skin infections, such as eczema or psoriasis in the treatment area.
- History of keloid scarring or poor wound healing.
- Blood clotting disorders or taking blood-thinning medications.
- Pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Allergies to tattoo pigments or local anesthetics.
- Uncontrolled diabetes or autoimmune diseases.
- Epilepsy or seizures.
- Use of Accutane within the past 6 months.
- Have sunburn, rash, or acne near the treatment area.
More rapid color loss is to be expected for those who
- Have unstable sugar levels.
- Engage in excessive alcohol consumption or heavy smoking.
- Have dehydrated or compromised skin.
- Take aspirin or blood thinners.
- Have high blood pressure that is not being monitored.
- Experience hormonal imbalances.
- Sweat excessively.
- Spend a lot of time in the sun, gym, or pool.
- Do not follow aftercare instructions.
- Use a lot of anti aging products causing accelerated skin turnover.
Must discontinue the following a minimum of 2-4 weeks before and after appointment. Failure to do so will prevent the color from penetrating the skin, and you will not be refunded. Check ingredients in every single product you use on your face from cleansers to moisturizers, makeup and makeup removers, to other skin care products.
- Retinol/Retinoids, Tretinoin, Isotretinoin, or vitamin A derivatives topical and oral. Skincare and supplements! Off Accutane for at least 6 months!
- Acids such as AHA, BHA, Glycolic, Lactic, Mandelic, Malic, Citric, Tartaric, Salicylic, and Hyaluronic Acids. Check makeup and cleansers!
- Steroid and Brightening Creams such Cortisone, Aquitaine, Niacin, and Vitamin C.
- Exfoliating treatments, Microdermabrasion, Lasers, Chemical Peels, Photo Facials, Acne Skincare, Skin Resurfacing Treatments.
- Oil based (mineral oil) Products, Creams, Moisturizers, and Makeup Removers.
- Long lasting makeup. Use makeup that washes off easily with water. No lash growth serum for 30 days! This is very important.
- Botox should be done 3 weeks prior. Wax, Tweezing, Tinting at least 3 days prior.
- Avoid for 24 hours before, Blood Thinners, Alcohol, Fish Oil (blood thinner), Hair skin and nail Supplements, Caffeine.
For best results we recommend Cetaphil Daily Cleanser for normal skin and Cetaphil Oil Free Daily Facial Moisturizer 4 weeks prior and 4 weeks after to keep your skin clean and moisturized. Other cleansers free of anti aging ingredients include Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Foaming Cleanser, Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Facial Cleanser for dry skin, and Clean And Clear Foaming Facial Cleanser. Moisturize lips with Aquaphor 3x daily before lip tattoo.

Permanent makeup is a two step process and requires 2 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart to be considered complete. The initial session is to lay the foundation, and the touchup session is to perfect the shape and color. Your permanent makeup will go through many changes. The emoji chart gives you some idea of feelings you may experience after the first session while waiting for your touchup.
After your initial session you may experience shock, see a color you don't like either too dark, cool, or warm. At about day 3-5 you may see light peeling. In order to minimize the peeling as much as possible follow the after care checklist. At week 2 the color will start to fade and may even disappear while its settling below your skin. At about week 3 the color will slowly start to show up again through your skin. And week 4 is time for touchup. Four weeks is a full skin cell turnover cycle for the skin to reproduce new healthy skin above the tattoo. This is important so that on the touchup the skin is healthy. Doing the touchup early means the skin is still in its shedding process and color will not hold.

Is it okay to get the brows wet?
Yes, you must keep your brows moisturized at all times following your permanent makeup procedure to prevent scabbing or peeling. We recommend using our aftercare cream or Aquaphor 3 to 5 times daily to maintain moisture balance and promote good color retention. Be sure to rub the cream in well, on and around the brow skin, and under existing brow hair sealing the color in. Brows should feel flat and smooth at all times when you touch them with your finger. No lifting should occur.
Can I go back to work immediately after getting permanent makeup?
Yes. Permanent Makeup does not impair you in any way.
Will it get swollen?
Usually not. You can expect your eyebrows to appear beautiful right after the treatment. In some cases, there may be mild swelling with eyeliner and lips, which typically subsides within a day or two.
All the photos featured on our website are taken immediately after treatment, so you can see the immediate results. Please note that the initial color appears darker, and gradually lightens during the healing process.
Will my eyebrows scab?
No, as long as you follow the aftercare instructions correctly, your brows should remain clean, flat, and smooth at all times with no scabbing or lifting.
What happens if my eyebrows develop scabs after permanent makeup?
If you experience scabbing, we recommend applying a hot compress with a wet paper towel to soften the skin. This can help retain as much color as possible without removing it. However, if the scab has already dried out and fallen off, there is nothing you can do other than wait for the touch-up session. Removing the scab prematurely could result in color loss or uneven healing.
Can I wear my regular makeup?
We advise against using any topical products aside from the instructed aftercare during the first ten days after the permanent makeup procedure to prevent infection. Picking scabs should be avoided, as it can elevate the risk of infection and disrupt the healing process. It's crucial to ensure that the treated area remains clean, flat, and smooth reducing scabbing for good results.
What should I avoid after getting permanent makeup?
No shower for 24 hours. Avoid retinols, harsh chemical facials, exfoliating treatments, prolonged sun exposure, and excessive sweating to prevent adverse effects on the pigment.
