Discontinue barrier forming ingredients and exfoliating treatments/products starting 4 weeks before and 4 weeks after your appointment. Failure to do so will prevent color absorption and cause premature color loss. You will not be refunded.  

• All products containing Retinol/Retinoids, Tretinoin, Isotretinoin, or vitamin A derivatives. Skincare and supplements! Off Accutane for at least 6 months!
• Acids such as AHA, BHA, Glycolic, Lactic, Mandelic, Malic, Citric, Tartaric, Salicylic, and Hyaluronic Acids. Check makeup and cleansers!
• Steroid and brightening creams such Cortisone, Aquitaine, Niacin, and Vitamin C Serum. Acne skincare products and cleansers.
• Exfoliators, chemical exfoliants, photo facials, chemical peels, lasers & skin resurfacing treatments. 
• Oil/Silicone based products, creams, moisturizers, and makeup removers. 
• Many makeup removers, such as Neutrogena oil-free and hydrating micellar water, may seem safe but contain barrier-forming ingredients. Check your ingredients or choose from our approved list!
• Lash Growth Serums, Waterproof mascara, and long-lasting eyeliner. Use makeup products that wash off easily with water.
• Eye Drops for dry eyes should be stopped 4 weeks prior if they contain oil.
• Water-based eye drops, like Refresh Tears, Artificial Tears, and Blink Tears, if don't contain oil should be stopped 1 week prior. Double check yours!
• Fake lashes must be fully removed 1 week prior.
• Perming and tinting eyelashes must be done 1 week prior
• 24 hours before: avoid blood thinners, alcohol, and caffeine.

Day of the Appointment: Appointments are scheduled for 45 min.

• Shower before, and arrive with clean makeup-free skin. No contact lenses.
• No moisturizers near treatment area, can create a barrier.
• Complete consent form and discuss eyeliner goals.
• High grade topical anesthetic is used for your comfort.
• Eyes remain closed throughout the entire process with minimal to no pain!
• When the skin is properly prepared, it takes about 5 minutes per eye. The ink should smoothly enter the skin with no resistance or pain.
• The use of gels, serums, and long-lasting makeup creates a barrier that prevents ink from entering the skin, causing friction during implantation and increasing pain with little to no results. Check your products used on your face!

Aftercare:

• First 24 hours: Avoid shower, steam, sauna, sun, and sweating in order for pigment to settle. You may shower after 24 hours. It's' okay to get the eyes wet after 24 hours.
• Keep the area clean at all times to prevent infection. Do not touch with dirty hands.
• No makeup around the eyes for 7 days!
• Use unopened mascara after 7 days to avoid infection.
• No lash extensions, tinting, perming, or curling for 2 weeks.
• Apply ointment provided to you 2x daily on clean skin, rub in well to lock in color.
• Avoid retinol, acids, and exfoliating treatments near eyes to prevent premature fading.
• Minor swelling for 2-3 days (does not occur for everyone).
• All photos seen on the website are taken immediately after the procedure.
• May apply ice in a clean plastic bag if needed.
• May return to work and drive as usual.
• May wear contact lenses if no irritation after one day.
• If using daily eye drops, pigment may not hold in the skin well.
• Color may disappear then reappear during healing period.

If you have vascular eyelids or had any type of eye surgery, including cataract, Lasik, or blepharoplasty in the last year a doctor's note is required for clearance.
