Long-Lasting Lipstick Effect: Provides a bold, full color that stays vibrant day after day. This semi-permanent treatment gives your lips a defined, dramatic look, eliminating the need for daily reapplication. Ideal for those seeking a consistent, smudge-proof finish, it enhances your natural features with a flawless, long-lasting result. Two sessions are recommended 4-6 weeks apart to last 2+ years.

Lip Blush: a temporary stain offering a more natural, soft tint for a subtle, sheer finish. Ideal for those with uneven or thin lips who prefer not to opt for lip fillers. It enhances your pout with a fresh, polished look without the boldness of lipstick. The results are beautifully natural and undetectable, so no one will know you had anything done. Once healed, you can easily apply regular lipstick for a darker, more dramatic look on special occasions. Two sessions are recommended 4-6 weeks apart to last 1-1.5 years.

Both Lip Tattoo options restore lost color while enhancing the fullness and definition of your lips, with the initial color appearing very bright. The Lipstick Effect delivers a highly saturated hue, creating a striking, lipstick-like finish, while the Lip Stain offers a softer, more sheer tint for a natural, subtle look. To keep your lips moisturized and add a glossy glow, apply Aquaphor to ensure they remain nourished and radiant.

Dark-toned lips require extra applications to lighten up the darker tones before applying the desired color. This is known as dark lip neutralization. The dark lip neutralization technique uses orange and peachy tones to counterbalance the dark hues. Darker lips may appear darker before appearing lighter as the pigment deposits itself through the layers of skin. Learn more about lip color neutralization on our color theory page. 

Lip tattooing can trigger cold sores for those with the underlying virus. Over-the-counter creams are available if needed. For added peace of mind, discuss taking an antiviral with your doctor ensuring your lip tattoo experience is smooth and worry-free.

It is your responsibility to read the pre/post care on our website and follow ALL the instructions! Must discontinue retinols, acids, hyaluronic acid, anti aging products or color will not penetrate into the skin! 

Discontinue the following a minimum of 4 weeks before and after appointment. Failure to do so will prevent color absorption into the skin, and you will not be refunded. Lips can not be dry or have dead chapped skin.

• Retinol/Retinoids, Tretinoin, Isotretinoin, or vitamin A derivatives. Skincare and supplements! Off Accutane for at least 6 months!
• Acids such as AHA, BHA, Glycolic, Lactic, Mandelic, Malic, Citric, Tartaric, Salicylic, and Hyaluronic Acids. Check makeup and cleansers!
• Steroid and Brightening Creams such Cortisone, Aquitaine, Niacin, and Vitamin C.
• Exfoliating treatments, Microdermabrasion, Lasers, Chemical Peels, Photo Facials, Acne Skincare, Skin Resurfacing Treatments. 
• Oil/Silicone based products, creams, moisturizers, and makeup removers.
• Long lasting makeup. Use makeup that washes off easily with water.
• Long-lasting lipstick and plumpers.
• Botox, Lip Flip, Lip Enhancement procedures should be done 3 weeks prior. 
• Wax, Tweeze, and laser hair removal at least 3 days prior. 
• Exfoliate dead skin off lips. Dry and chapped lips will not hold onto color. 
• Cold sores may be triggered if you have a history. Antiviral is recommended to start a few days before and after your treatment
• 24 hours before: Avoid Blood Thinners, Alcohol, and Caffeine.

For optimal results, use our recommended products here. Apply Aquaphor to your lips 3x daily after exfoliating dead skin off, starting immediately if you have dry cracked lips. Pigment won't retain in dead skin.

Day of the appointment: Appointments are scheduled for 1.5 hours.

• Shower before and arrive with clean, makeup-free, well-hydrated lips.
• No moisturizers near the treatment area to avoid creating a barrier.
• Complete consent form upon arrival.
• Color is applied until the desired saturation is achieved.
• High grade topical anesthetics safe for lips, is applied.
• Expect a very bright color and some swelling for the first few days.

Aftercare:

• No shower, steam, sauna, sun, or sweating for first 24 hours for pigment to settle
• Lots of peeling is to be expected. Moisturize a lot! Aquaphor is recommended.
• Keep clean to prevent infection with wet paper towel after you eat. 
• No makeup on lips for 5 days. Brush teeth as usual.
• Use a straw for hot drinks for the first 3 days.
• No Botox or fillers for 4 weeks.
• May apply ice if needed in clean plastic bag

Healing:

• Swelling for 3-5 days is normal.
• Expect bright color for the first few days.
• All website photos were taken right after the procedure.
• Peeling and dryness are common; moisturize regularly.
• Cold sores may be triggered if you have a history. Antiviral is recommended to start a few days before and after your treatment
• Multiple sessions are needed for dark lips.

Darker lips require extra applications. Light colors will not show up well on darker lips. Dark-toned lips are lightened using a contrasting color like peach or orange explained on our color theory page. 

To neutralize darker hues, multiple applications are applied. The first color application counters the darker colors with the opposite color on the color wheel like orange or salmon. The second application lightens it more. The last application creates the desired effect once the natural lip color is light enough to cover successfully. Dark tones may show through until pigment is fully settled making the lips appear darker before appearing lighter.
